Ms. Schroeder-Corbin is a distinguished professional with an extensive and diverse career portfolio. She has served numerous prestigious organizations, including St John’s Mercy Medical Center,  Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Central Utah Surgical Center, St. Mark’s Hospital, Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Penn Medicine at Lancaster General Health. She was appointed as a Citizen-Scientist Astronaut Candidate by the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS) and presently works as a bioastronautics researcher for the company. In addition, she currently contributes her expertise to Penn State Health as a registered nurse.

Attributing her success to remaining undeterred in her pursuits as well as ignoring negative external voices, Ms. Schroeder-Corbin utilized these skills to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1999. In 2022, she obtained a Master of Science in human factors in aerospace from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She has contributed chapters to an aeronautic publication about spaceflight nutrition, the lunar environment, and the future trends in spacesuits. In the coming years, she intends to pioneer, define, and develop the role of nursing in the commercial space industry, as well as advocate for the continued development of space medicine in current and future space exploration. When she is not working, she dedicates her time and attention to traveling, reading, and listening to music.
