Specializing in business and nursing management, she has served as the senior director of quality and accreditation management at the Sumner Regional Medical Center since 2004. Additionally, she works extensively in the institution’s infection control operations. Likewise, she participates in a variety of charitable initiatives with her organization, alongside her other civic-minded endeavors as a volunteer in various community service events. Ms. Shivers has also formerly excelled as a charge nurse, nursing director and quality manager, as part of her extensive career.
Ever committed to her professional endeavors, Ms. Shivers remains affiliated with the Tennessee Nurses Association. As part of her vocational journey, she also pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Austin Peay State University in 2005. In her continued collegiate efforts, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree. In addition to her academic credentials, she is also a certified professional in healthcare quality (CPHQ) and a certified professional in patient safety (CPPS). To commemorate her achievements, Ms. Shivers has been honored with several accolades, including named the Director of the Quarter by the Sumner Regional Medical Center and receiving nominations for Nurse of the Year and for the Tennessee Hospital Association’s Patient Safety Leadership Award.
