Ms. Okeke is also experienced in managing interventions, including starting intravenous fluids, administering medications and facilitating laboratory workups. Before her current consultancy role, Ms. Okeke spent several years as a college professor. From 2014 to 2024, Ms. Okeke held the positions of registered nurse and charge nurse at the Regional Medical Center of San Jose. For 10 years, she managed complex cases across multiple departments, including wound care, intensive care and the nursery. Ms. Okeke’s tenure was distinguished by her ability to adapt to diverse clinical settings while maintaining high standards of care.

Between 2001 and 2013, Ms. Okeke served as a staff nurse and charge nurse at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Ms. Okeke’s academic credentials have underpinned her professional journey. She completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1996, an achievement that laid the foundation for her distinguished nursing career. She then acquired a Master of Science in nursing administration at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2009. This advanced education equipped Ms. Okeke with strategic leadership skills that have proven invaluable throughout her roles in management and academia.

In addition to her formal education, Ms. Okeke’s commitment to ongoing professional development has been reflected in her certifications. She became credentialed as a registered nurse trauma/medical surgical specialist by the California Board of Registered Nursing in 1996. Years later, Ms. Okeke received advanced cardiac life support certification from the American Red Cross in 2021. As a writer, Ms. Okeke has published numerous books aimed at empowering young nurses. Her works include “Nurses You Move” in 2016, “Comprehensive Nurses Case Scenarios, 400 Questions, Answers, Rationales and Skills” in 2020, and “Quiet Becoming” in 2026. Ms. Okeke’s writing is deeply rooted in real-world observations from hospitals, such as the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and the Regional Medical Center of San Jose. Her books often address themes such as resilience in the face of adversity, relationship dynamics and practical guidance for novice nurses transitioning into experienced professionals.
