Ms. King’s transition into nursing followed a decade of biomedical engineering experience. Her extensive and varied experience as a registered nurse in the acute care, rehabilitation and home care settings fueled a profound dedication to health advocacy. This passion empowered her to discern critical gaps within the health care system, motivating her to establish her own enterprise. For her accomplishments at Partners HealthCare, she was notably recognized for contributions to a team that achieved a 40% reduction rate in patient fall incidents within the hospital setting. Having initially studied at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Ms. King earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering . Following this achievement, she earned a Master of Science in Materials Engineering at Northeastern University. She subsequently studied nursing at the Massachusetts Bay Community College earning her RN. In 2023 she went on to complete her nurse coaching certificate and will sit for the national board exams in both nurse coaching and holistic nursing in 2024. Looking toward the future, Ms. King aspires to continue working toward reforms in the health care system, particularly in the realm of incentivizing and facilitating preventative care, which can substantially reduce the prevalence and severity of chronic conditions.
