Jacqueline Ann Ward, Retired Nurse, Health Care Administrator and Legal Nurse Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing.

With more than 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Ward has been retired since 2008, having most recently worked as a legal nurse consultant between 2007 and 2008. Prior to this position, she served as an administrator for Consulate Health Care of Sarasota from 2005 to 2007, an executive director for the Beneva Lakes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in 2005, an administrator for the Sun Terrace Rehabilitation Center from 2002 to 2005, an administrator for the Centers for Long Term Care from 2000 to 2001, and both a facilities administrator and director of nursing for Long Term Care in Sarasota, Florida between 1999 and 2000. She previously held a number of nursing and administrative positions with Manatee Community College, Long Term Care, Bon Secours-Venice Hospital, the Life Counseling Center of Osprey, Florida, Venice Memorial Hospital, H.D. Cobb Memorial Hospital and the Charleston Area Medical Center, to name a few. Ms. Ward began her career as a staff nurse with West Virginia University Hospital from 1966 to 1967.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Ward pursued an education at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1966. She continued her academic efforts with a Master of Arts in counseling and guidance at West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, now known as Marshall University, in 1976. Following these accomplishments, she obtained a Master of Business Administration from Columbus State University in 1983 as well as an Associate of Science in health services management and nursing home administration from St. Petersburg College in 1997. Attributing her success to her unparalleled drive, hard work ethic, good intentions and her desire to help others as much as possible, Ms. Ward proudly recalls her appointment as the vice president of nursing at Venice Memorial Hospital as the highlight of her impressive career.
