Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Coley pursued an education at the Rutgers School of Nursing, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983. He subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Army, having completed six years of service as an army medic. After seven years as a nurse in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Coley served in the Federal Bureau of Prisons as part of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps for 11 years, retiring at the rank of commander.
Mr. Coley was drawn to the field of healthcare since high school upon receiving the opportunity to help others. Incredibly proud of his 24 years of government service, he is grateful to have survived through the COVID-19 pandemic. In the coming years, Mr. Coley is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement while shifting his attention to consulting and volunteer work.
