Title: Co-Managing Director
Company: Burnerz and Grillz
Location: Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, United States
Uju Jacinta Oseghale, LLB, BL, RN, BSN, MSN, co-managing director at Burnerz and Grillz, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in entrepreneurship and geriatric care.
With a professional life spanning over 15 years, Ms. Oseghale has established herself in the field of nursing across the last five years while simultaneously pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. Her first nursing role was as a registered nurse at Penn State Health’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2019. In 2022, she joined Lifesong Hospice as a case management nurse, gaining further experience in palliative care. She also built up her leadership credentials as the executive vice president of Jawo Hashery from 2018 to 2024.
Prior to expanding into nursing, Ms. Oseghale began her career as a principal managing partner and legal secretary at Jayfuju and Associates. Though she moved on from the principal managing partner role in 2024, she still serves as the company’s legal secretary to this day. Jayfuju and Associates is a legal firm based in Ms. Oseghale’s home country of Nigeria, although she has worked remotely since immigrating to the United States in 2012. Also passionate about entrepreneurship, she holds the position of co-managing director alongside her husband at Burnerz and Grillz, a Hershey, Pennsylvania-based catering company that cooks Nigerian food for events.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Oseghale sought an education to serve as a foundation for her future, beginning with a Bachelor of Laws from Madonna University in 2006. After shifting directions for her career, she obtained an associate degree in science and nursing from Harrisburg Area Community College in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in 2022. Subsequently, Ms. Oseghale earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Millersville University in 2025. She is a registered nurse and has been associated with the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, which she’s proud to have been inducted into. Ms. Oseghale considers her master’s degree to be her greatest accomplishment, since she had to start her academic journey over from nothing when she immigrated to the United States. She was unable to transfer any credits from her law degree but was still able to reinvest in and complete her education.
Even beyond her work as a nurse, Ms. Oseghale believes in contributing to her wider community. She finds particular fulfilment in volunteering with children through her church, expressing her faith while helping others.
Well-regarded for her contributions, Ms. Oseghale has received numerous accolades throughout her professional life. In 2018 she was named Rooke Employee of the Month. When looking back on her accomplishments, Ms. Oseghale credits the support of her husband and inspiration from her children as primary factors. She aspires to be a positive role model and prioritizes empathy and diligence in her approach to work.
Devoted to family as well as career, Ms. Oseghale is a loving wife and mother. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys music and Korean movies. As she moves forward, Ms. Oseghale looks to further her entrepreneurial ventures with the ambitious goal of eventually opening a physical location for Burnerz and Grillz. Concurrently with that, she also intends to continue her work as a nurse practitioner. As a nurse, Ms. Oseghale has begun to focus on working with geriatric populations and working night shifts. She hopes to one day establish her own hospice home as a culmination of her achievements.
