Her previous roles include registered nurse case manager in critical care at Martin’s Point Health Care from 2016 to 2020, utilization review manager at Community Health Options from 2014 to 2016, registered nurse case manager at Parkview Health from 2012 to 2014, and nursing instructor at Central Maine Community College from 2010 to 2012. Earlier in her career, she spent over a decade as an intensive care nurse at Central Maine Medical Center from 1997 to 2010 and began her journey as a certified nursing assistant. Additionally, she holds memberships in the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and contributes to The Journal of Ambulatory Care Nursing. She also actively participates in fundraising efforts for organizations such as the Tour de Cure, Diabetes Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Dempsey Foundation, and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and volunteers at community events, including Freeport 5k races and craft fairs.
Ms. Morin laid an educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Southern Maine in 1999, and a Master of Science in nursing with honors from the University of Phoenix in 2007. She is a certified case manager and registered nurse, and holds an EMT license Reflecting on her path, her nursing career has encompassed diverse roles, including teaching, utilization review, case management, prior authorization, and work in neurology and pediatrics, along with extensive experience in critical care. After sustaining a back injury at the bedside, she transitioned to case management, teaching, and utilization review. During her recovery, she began working one-on-one with a child in a school system, providing nursing care as part of a functional learning curriculum for students with diverse needs. Looking to the future, she is passionate about pursuing a Ph.D. and is dedicated to advancing medical research and education, particularly around Lyme disease, a condition she has personally faced. In advising aspiring professionals, she emphasizes the importance of human connection in health care, believing it is essential to understand each patient’s background and build meaningful relationships.
