Victoria D. Ray, RN, BSN, CEN, CLNC, certified legal nurse consultant at the Orange Pacific Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
With over two decades of experience, Ms. Ray has built a successful career in health care and nursing, specializing in emergency room care and critical care transport. She currently excels as a certified legal nurse consultant at Orange Pacific Group, a role she has held since 2023, and as a critical care transport provider with Viewpoint Ambulance since 2022. In these positions, she is responsible for transporting brain-dead or critical patients via ambulance, teaching nursing students, and accompanying stable patients on commercial airline flights to nursing care in Florida. Additionally, she is expanding her consulting business, hiring subcontractors, and assisting attorneys on medico-legal and medical malpractice cases, including working on a wrongful death case involving 25,000 pages of documentation.
Ms. Ray’s previous experience includes working as a critical care transport nurse at Ambulnz from 2021 to 2023, and as a critical care transport registered nurse at Symons Ambulance from 2018 to 2023. She has also served as a nursing clinical instructor at Stanbridge University from 2018 to 2023, and as an emergency department registered nurse at various institutions, including College Medical Center from 2015 to 2018, Approved Nursing Solutions from 2013 to 2017, Olive View-UCLA Medical Center from 2012 to 2013, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center from 2011 to 2012, Brooke Army Medical Center in 2010, Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2009, and Wake Forest Baptist Health from 2004 to 2008.
Ms. Ray also dedicates her time as a content creator on YouTube and as a volunteer with the Parents of Autistic Children, the American Heart Association, and the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. Laying a solid educational foundation, she completed coursework in law in Moscow, Russia, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing at Walden University. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Surry Community College in 2004 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2020. Her certifications include advanced cardiovascular life support, experienced provider, and basic life support for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association, pediatric advanced life support from the American Heart Association, and care of the critically ill adult from Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She is also certified in Hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator certification, and is a certified emergency nurse. Additionally, she is a registered nurse and a certified legal nurse consultant.
Reflecting on her path, Ms. Ray was inspired by the nurses at the hospital when she had her first child, as well as by the strong women in her life, all of whom were nurses themselves. After her son turned one, she made the decision to attend nursing school in North Carolina. She takes great pride in her role as a critical care transport nurse, often working alone with the patient and an EMT in the back of an ambulance, making quick, critical decisions while traveling at high speeds. She attributes her success to the strong women who have inspired her, as well as to her passion for the profession and her commitment to setting and achieving goals. Looking to the future, she plans to grow her business and continue making a positive impact on health care, with a focus on helping others and improving patient care.
