Janet Martin Quinn, RN, SPHR, MBA, Registered Nurse and Retired Human Resources Professional, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing.
Ms. Quinn is a distinguished professional with a diverse career profile. She served for 30 years as a senior benefits professional at FedEx, where she managed disability and medical cases and conducted clinical audits. She has also been a qualified nurse since 1972, a position in which she has contributed her expertise in many areas of nursing, including medical-surgical, psychiatry, and alcohol and drug treatment. In addition, she has gained experience as a project management leader, having led several groups and given numerous presentations on benefits and troubleshooting. She retired officially in 2014 yet continues to offer her skills as a volunteer nurse.
Attributing her success to high energy and a love for challenges, Ms. Quinn utilized these assets to earn a diploma as a registered nurse from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1972. She obtained a Bachelor of Professional Studies with a concentration in health care management from The University of Memphis in 1995. In 1998, she garnered a Master of Business Administration in aviation-airway management and operations from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She has also been certified in case management and as a Lifetime Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Ms. Quinn has been active in her community, where she has volunteered as a nurse at a special-needs camp twice a year since 2014. Additionally, she served at a church health center once a month before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the program. She participated as a member of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations committee of businesses for FedEx and the UB-82 Home Health Committee.
Ms. Quinn has taken great pride in always being a leader. She loves a challenge and wants to help anyone who needs it. Her advice to the next generation of professionals is to have patience. When she is not working, she dedicates her time and attention to her family.
