With over 20 years of experience to her credit in the field of nursing, Ms. Ransom has earned distinction as a case manager with Ascension Living HOPE, a program of the Ascension nonprofit health system and provider of primary care services for seniors. Specializing in geriatric health, Ms. Ransom bears responsibility for attending home visits on behalf of patients, performing assessments and wound care if necessary, following up with doctor’s appointments and providing instructions for upcoming procedures. Having joined Ascension in 2018, she previously served in similar roles with a medical staffing network between 2018 and 2019, Encompass Home Health from 2012 to 2013, Maxim Healthcare Services from 2011 until 2012 and Golden LivingCenters between 2010 and 2011.
Having always aspired to become a doctor, Ms. Ransom drew inspiration from a negative experience with a nurse while coming of age. Long motivated by a desire to help others, she felt compelled to parlay the effects of this incident toward a career in nursing. After securing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bethel College in 2002, Ms. Ransom went on to attain a master’s degree in leadership at Tabor College in 2019. Eminently qualified in her field, she holds certification as a registered nurse and in providing basic life support services.
Among her most dearly held accomplishments, Ms. Ransom is proud to have graduated from Tabor College, and to have earned an award for both her years of service and for going above and beyond her usual duties at Ascension Living HOPE. In accounting for her success, she largely credits her simple determination to serve on behalf of others, as well as her intrinsic sense of compassion, diligence and dedication, and her ability to build an excellent rapport with her patients. Throughout the course of her career, she has also benefited greatly from a propensity for open-mindedness. Looking toward the future, Ms. Ransom aspires to continue making a difference through her profession.
