Elenita L. Ledesma, RN, BSN, Retired Nurse Evaluator at the California Department of Public Health (SFFO), has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing.
Over the course of her 46 years of professional experience, Ms. Ledesma has excelled in a number of important roles, including head nurse, supervisor, nurse evaluator and critical care nurse. She has also thrived in the areas of utilization and case management.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Ledesma studied nursing at the University of Santo Tomas, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1964. She worked for the aforementioned university for two years, and then moved in 1996 to the United States, where she obtained her nursing license.
Ms. Ledesma’s diligence, dedication and hard work enabled her to accomplish her goals in the field of nursing. A past member of the Philippine Nurses Association Inc., she believes strongly that nursing is a fulfilling profession, particularly for individuals who aspire to help people and act for the greater good. In retirement, she has remained active in community service at her local church.
