Laura DiRico, RN, MSN, Nurse Practitioner at DOCS Urgent Care, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
Since 2016, Ms. DiRico has found success as a nurse practitioner with DOCS Urgent Care in Bethel, Connecticut. Previously, she held the same post with Midtown Neurology from 2007 to 2016 and garnered experience as a case manager with Piedmont Hospital. In addition to her primary career endeavors, she has also dedicated her time to the Connecticut Brain Tumors Association and Jane Doe No More, a nonprofit which helps survivors of sexual crimes. Ms. DiRico has also maintained affiliation with the Golden Key Honor Society, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Georgia Gerontology Society, the latter of which she served as a past vice president.
Ms. DiRico prepared for her career at Quinnipiac University, where she earned an associate degree, and went on to study at Kennesaw State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She completed her education at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University in 2007. Continuing her education throughout her career, Ms. DiRico holds an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certification and is a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In the coming years, she hopes to transition back to working in neurology, pursue a doctoral degree, and work as a consultant and educator.
