Tuwana Gildon

Title: Registered Nurse, Educator
Location: Fort Worth, TX United States

Tuwana Gildon, Registered Nurse and Educator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses, for dedication, achievement and leadership in nursing education.

Driven to help others at an early age, Ms. Gildon’s greatest strength is her ability to care and persevere because others depend on her help. Naturally nurturing and a continuous learner, she began her career in 2008 after graduating from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has worked in hospice care, and as a clinical educator and director of education in nursing. She endeavors to become a chief nursing officer because of the ability it will give her to help more people.

Ms. Gildon is inspired by the work of the founder of modern nursing – Florence Nightingale – and intends to carry on the same compassion in her career as her idol. She considers patient interaction one of the most important aspects of her job, that making time to say hello to a person is more important than treating a number. Ms. Gildon intends on becoming a nurse practitioner and shift into working in psychology and management. She has been honored by the National Honor Society and is active in local church organizations.
