As he looks to the future, Mr. Spacek aspires to gain further experience as a midwife, advocate for evidence-based health policy, increase visibility for advanced practice registered nurses and enhance the legitimacy of the midwifery profession. He envisions establishing birthing centers in underserved areas of the Midwest, expanding access to low-intervention options for women and ultimately leaving a lasting positive impact on his community.

Mr. Spacek hopes to be remembered for making the world a better place, following the example set by his mother’s enduring influence in her community. He strives to create more good moments than bad and to inspire others through his dedication, compassion and advocacy in maternal health.
