In addition to her success as a charge nurse, Ms. Plaster’s tenure in health care has spanned roles as a staff nurse, nurse preceptor and assistant unit manager/interim unit manager on a very active neurosurgery unit. Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic medical center and health system. Ms. Plaster’s career is underpinned by a strong educational foundation. She earned an associate degree in nursing from Mitchell Community College in Statesville, North Carolina, in 2000. Years later, she completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, in 2020. Her academic achievements have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her field. Furthermore, Ms. Plaster holds a certification in rehabilitation nursing, which underscores her expertise and dedication to providing specialized care.

In addition to her formal education, Ms. Plaster’s professional journey is complemented by active involvement in industry-related organizations such as the American Rehab Nurses Association, the North Carolina Nursing Association, and the North Carolina Rehab Association. These affiliations have provided Ms. Plaster with opportunities for professional development and networking within the nursing community.

Ms. Plaster’s personal experiences have profoundly influenced her approach to nursing.
