Having spent his former years as a nurse, Mr. Socorro began his career as a registered nurse extern at Resurrection Health Care in 2008. He continued to advance into roles as an intensive care unit registered nurse at Weiss Memorial Hospital and various management-level positions, such as clinical operations manager and nursing director of clinical operations at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was employed between 2016 and 2018.
Highly skilled in the medical field, Mr. Socorro earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Harry S. Truman College, City Colleges of Chicago, in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University in 2012. He also holds credentials as a certified critical-care registered nurse through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, two designations from LinkedIn and three more from Mitratech Syntrio. To further advance his career, Mr. Socorro is pursuing a Master of Science in nursing administration and leadership from Aspen University.
As part of his continued commitments to the industry, Mr. Socorro is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. He also remains affiliated with Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. He is active civically as a volunteer for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a sponsor for Children International, and a donor and fundraiser for various other worthy causes. Mr. Socorro was recognized as Nurse Manager of the Quarter in light of his hard work and dedication. He attributes his success to the love and values his parents gave him and his brother.
