Subsequently, she became a licensed registered nurse in the U.S. in New York and Florida. Besides her education, Ms. Diaz Fernandez is a member of the American Nurses Association, where she remains active in her professional community.
Among her most notable accomplishments in the field, Ms. Diaz Fernandez was sent to help victims of the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan while based in Cuba. It was a transformative experience that set the tone for her future, heavily influencing her desire to remain loyal to the field and continue assisting individuals facing similar challenges. Ms. Diaz Fernandez acknowledges that her success stems from her receptiveness to learning. Looking ahead, she aims to enhance her nursing skills for future advancement. She credits her success thus far to her attention to detail, perseverance and passion for continuous learning, as well as the inspiration she has received from her brother, a physician.
