Vicrela B. Staridolsky, RN, PhD, Senior Director of Regulatory and Accreditation Compliance at ScionHealth, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
Since childhood, Dr. Staridolsky has sought to care for others in need and make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. She has served as a nurse for more than 37 years, beginning her career as a medical-surgical and intensive care unit nurse in 1992. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in health care administration from Warren National University and is a certified professional in patient safety (CPPS) as well as a registered nurse (RN) licensed in Nevada, California, Florida and Maryland.
As the senior director of clinical operations at ScionHealth since 2023, Dr. Staridolsky prepares and inspects hospitals for surveys conducted by the Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Using her Joint Commission certification, she assists medical facilities to ensure they perform well in these surveys, conducting evaluations of all clinical and nonclinical departments within the hospital. Once a facility has been evaluated, she provides detailed reports and aids in the development and implementation of action plans to address any issues uncovered. Prior to her current position, she served as ScionHealth’s senior director of clinical operations for three years. In addition to her career, she served in the United States Army Nurse Corps as a captain from 2004 to 2005.
Dr. Staridolsky takes great pride in her achievements as a nurse, the leadership roles she has taken on and the positive results she has achieved while working in various hospitals and positions. Despite English being her second language, as she immigrated from Bulgaria in 1990, she has achieved her goals, and she is thankful for the opportunities she has received. She credits her success to her upbringing, strong character, unwavering commitment, loyalty and determination. To remain current in her field, she maintains membership to the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Over the coming years, Dr. Staridolsky hopes to continue working in health care. She strives to be the best version of herself as a professional so that she can provide support for her coworkers, subordinates and particularly for patients reliant on her care and diligence.
