Danielle Rena Bradley, MBA, BSN, manager of children’s care at Buckeye Health Plan, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
With over a decade and a half of experience, Ms. Bradley has established a successful career in health care, specializing in coordinating children’s health care, Medicaid care management, and population health. She currently excels as the manager of children’s care at Buckeye Health Plan, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, a position she has held since 2013. Her responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of new programs to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives and goals for optimal patient care, addressing her team’s needs, and collaborating with multiple departments to focus on various aspects of their population’s needs. Her experience includes roles as clinical associate at The University of Toledo Medical Center from 2011 to 2013 and public health nurse at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department from 2010 to 2013. She is a member of Sigma Beta Delta and dedicates her time as a supporter of the World Wildlife Fund and Sierra Club and as a volunteer for the Toledo Humane Society. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing, cum laude, from The University of Toledo in 2009, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University in 2022. She is also a certified case manager with the United Latino Students Association and a registered nurse.
Reflecting on her path, Ms. Bradley has always been passionate about health care and medicine, believing that a career in nursing allows her to make a direct and meaningful impact on people’s lives. She takes great pride in establishing and leading the health risk assessment team at Buckeye Health Plan. Despite initial concerns within the care management team regarding the demanding nature of a new contract requirement, she successfully orchestrated outreach to every individual on the health plan and implemented digital solutions in collaboration with the corporate team. By restructuring the team’s responsibilities, she enabled them to focus exclusively on health risk assessment outreach while still providing high-quality care to members. She attributes her success to her desire to make the world a better place, and her goal in the coming years is to become a consultant in nursing care management or a related field, allowing her to continue making impactful contributions to health care management. In advising aspiring professionals, she believes it is crucial to prioritize the overall well-being of individuals in health care, providing whole person care and focusing on their needs for the best quality of life, rather than solely on disease or specific health issues.
