Graduating with an associate degree in nursing from Excelsior University in New York and a licensed vocational nursing certification from Merritt College, she laid the foundation for her impactful journey in healthcare. Her academic pursuits also led her to earn a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Maryknoll College, now known as Miriam College, in the Philippines.
Ms. Librea’s career trajectory reflects her unwavering commitment to serving others and making a positive difference in their lives. Over two decades, she has served as a clinical nurse at Highland Hospital, demonstrating her expertise and dedication in emergency care from 1998 up to the present. In addition to her nursing career, she co-founded Angels Heart Home Care Services in 2020, which started its operation, 15 days after shelter-in-place was announced. To date, she continues to serve as Angels Heart Home Care Services’ director. This venture embodies her vision of providing compassionate and reliable home care services to individuals in need, reflecting her deep-seated desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.
Throughout her career, Ms. Librea has received numerous certifications in Emergency Nursing, Trauma Nursing, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and Director of Staff Development, underscoring her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care. Beyond her professional achievements, she actively engages in civic and philanthropic endeavors, supporting organizations such as the Alcosta Senior & Community Center and mentoring nursing and medical students.
Looking ahead, Ms. Librea envisions further expanding Angels Heart Home Care Services into a nationally recognized entity, providing comprehensive care solutions to families across the country.
