Marisa K. Conway, a registered nurse at the Lehigh Valley Health Network, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of nursing.

Drawing a wealth of motivation and passion from challenge and hardship, Ms. Conway has earned distinction through her work as a registered nurse. Leveraging numerous years of experience in her capacity at the Lehigh Valley Health Network, she is responsible for lending her aid in a diverse array of emergency room scenarios, from simple procedures to life-saving surgeries. Throughout her period of employment at Lehigh Valley, her most impactful challenge struck during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which time she was forced to contend with the trauma, sickness and lack of resources that accompanied working in the busiest emergency rooms in Pennsylvania.

Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Conway chose to become involved in her profession out of a passion for health care. While her background precluded her from becoming a doctor, she returned to school at age 30 and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at Montgomery County Community College, after which she joined the staff at Reading Hospital in 2014.

Well-qualified in her field, Ms. Conway went on to achieve certification in the core concepts of trauma nursing, as well as in pediatric advanced life support and advanced cardiac life support, culminating in her studies at Wilmington University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Conway maintains her affiliation with the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).

Among her most cherished accomplishments, Ms. Conway is particularly proud to have served on the team that won the Lantern Award from the ENA in 2018. Likewise, she takes solace in the fact that, although she has suffered through many painful life experiences, these events have only strengthened and equipped her to empathize with her patients in the emergency room truly. Resilience and dedication have formed the foundation of her professional success.
