Chen Peter Chou, family nurse practitioner at SaVida Health, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family care.

With over 25 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Chou has excelled as a family nurse practitioner at SaVida Health since 2023. He began his career as a staff nurse at SingHealth Group in his native Singapore from 2001 to 2003 before being promoted to senior staff nurse from 2001 to 2005. He served as a nurse clinician at National University Health System from 2005 to 2008 and at SingHealth from 2008 to 2009. He contributed to Mafraq Hospital of Abu Dhabi as nurse manager from 2009 to 2010.

Mr. Chou continued his career at AsiaMedic Limited as an assistant manager from 2010 to 2013 before being appointed to the role of project manager at Jurong Health Services Pte. Ltd. from 2013 to 2015. He garnered additional expertise at KPMG Services Pte. Ltd. as associate director in 2016 and again in 2017. He established himself as operations manager at Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2016 to 2017 before immigrating to the United States in 2018. Mr. Chou found success as a registered nurse at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services from 2018 to 2022 before accepting the position of family nurse practitioner at Premier Geriatric Solutions in 2022.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Chou pursued an education at Nanyang Polytechnic where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998. He continued his academic efforts at the University of Sydney where he accrued his second Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001, a WHO Fellowship that same year, and a Master of Health Science in 2002. He concluded his studies at James Madison University, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing in 2022. He holds certificates as a registered nurse in the Republic of Singapore, a nurse practitioner in the State of Virginia, and holds a basic life support certification.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Chou has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He volunteered as a community nurse at the Nurses Initiative for Community Engagement in Singapore from 2011 to 2015 and provided sports physical examinations at Eastlake Community Church in 2021. He donated time and effort as a student mentor at NYP of Singapore from 1996 to 1998 and contributed as an investigator on two medical publications.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Chou remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Upsilon Eta Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2004 and the Omega Zeta Chapter at same in 2020. 

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Chou has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Merit Award of National Healthcare Group’s annual Scientific Congress in 2007, the SARS Courage Medal in 2003, and the Tay Eng Soon Award, the Ministry of Health Gold Medal, and the Singapore Nurses’ Association Award for Clinical Practice in 1998.
