With 35 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Brew has excelled as a clinical educator at Huggins Hospital since 2022, a freelance guest lecturer since 2022, a clinical educator at Cheshire Medical Center since 2022 and an AVADE advanced instructor with AVADE Training since 2021. Likewise, she has found success as a healthcare advisor for the Government of New Hampshire since 2021 and an instructor for the Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) for MOAB Training International since 2013. During this time, she was additionally active as a post-anesthesia care nurse with the Concord Hospital Health System from 2015 to 2023. Ms. Brew previously began her career as a registered nurse at Elliot Hospital between 1988 and 2012.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Brew enrolled at Concord Hospital School of Nursing, from which she obtained a Diploma in Nursing in 1980. She continued her academic efforts with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. Following these accomplishments, she graduated from Western Governors University with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2021. Additionally certified as a trauma nurse, a gerontologic nurse, a critical care nurse, a perianesthesia nurse and an emergency nurse in recent years, Ms. Brew is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of New Hampshire.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Brew has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. Recognized as the Nurse of the Year by the Southern New Hampshire Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the aforementioned organization presented her with the Excellence in Caring Practices Award and the Excellence in Mentoring Award. Moreover, she was previously nominated for a DAISY Award. Ms. Brew attributes her success to her personal and professional commitment to continuously improve her practice, including her commitment to educating herself.

Ms. Brew was drawn to her field by her godmother, who was a physician and provided her with a nurse uniform and hospital bed toy during her youth, which inspired her to become a nurse. Outside of her primary endeavors, she has been affiliated with the National Society of Leadership and Success since 2016, Sigma Theta Tau Epsilon since 2022, and the New Hampshire Nurses Association since 2022, the latter of which appointed her to their Board of Directors and the Government Affairs Committee. Among the many highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud of obtaining the Excellence in Caring Practices Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, which was based on a patient care situation and enabled her to tell the story of a United States soldier who survived a horrific explosion in France during World War II. In the coming years, Ms. Brew hopes to continue her career in the nursing field while also seeking additional opportunities to teach and advocate for policy change regarding healthcare workplace violence prevention and safety as she has no plans of retiring
