With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Hargrave has excelled as a registered nurse at the University of Tennessee Medical Center since 2017. Prior to this position, she worked in the field of banking with TNBank in Knoxville, Tennessee, with which she was active as a loan assistant in 2014 and a loan specialist from 2014 to 2017. She previously served as a branch manager and mortgage lender for First Century Bank in Powell, Tennessee between 2004 and 2014. As a testament to her stellar efforts in the field of nursing, Ms. Hargrave has been presented with a number of accolades in recent years, including the Hometown Hero Gift Award, the Daisy Award, the 2022 Silver Lamp Award from the University of Tennessee Medical Center and the Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee and three Guardian Angel Pins, the latter of which were provided to her by her patients.
To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Hargrave initially obtained a degree in elementary education and teaching from a private college in 2005. She continued her academic efforts with an Associate of Science in nursing education at Pellissippi State Community College in 2017. Following these accomplishments, she concluded her studies with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2020. Attributing her success to her strong family unit, including the extraordinary support of her husband, as well as her faith and her calling to serve others, she is incredibly proud to have received the Daisy Award in addition to her appointment as the chairperson of the Professional Development Committee at the University of Tennessee, through which she has attempted to standardize and continue glucose monitoring in ICU patients. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hargrave hopes to earn her master’s degree and doctorate in nursing education so she may train the next generation of registered nurses.
