In this position, she is responsible for over 500 employees, for whom she is also in charge of COVID-19 care, flu campaign management and vaccine administration. She previously advanced to the rank of a lieutenant and served as a nurse practitioner in the U.S. Army over the course of five years. Furthermore, Dr. Laughlin has found much success with her creative endeavors as well, having been active as an actress since 2014, authored “Raising Influence Acceptance in Long-Term Care” and established a non-profit community theater company.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Laughlin pursued an education at Middle Tennessee State University, obtaining an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1982. She subsequently concluded his studies at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. In addition to these accomplishments, she garnered her certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Attributing her success to the unwavering support of her family as well as her upfront and straightforward approach to her practice, Ms. Laughlin hopes to continue thriving in the field of nursing while contributing to her community and considering teaching at a local university upon her retirement.
