Since 2011, she has operated as a nurse practitioner at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, where she largely focuses her efforts on outpatient care. As part of her dedication to her profession, she also remains active as a member within the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Well-regarded for her scholarly output as well, Dr. Cuvilly has authored several articles pertaining to her work in the field, including a recent study on leukemia and lymphoma from 2021. Likewise, she was a chapter contributor for the 2018 book, “Handbook of Clinical Nursing: Medical-Surgical Nursing,” from the Springer Publishing Company.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Dr. Cuvilly pursued a formal education. She began her studies at State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1995. She subsequently continued her studies at Dominican University New York and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997. Over the course of her professional career, Dr. Cuvilly continued her collegiate studies and ultimately achieved a Doctor of Nursing Practice in leadership at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in 2020. Accounting for her accomplishments, she has largely attributed her success to her education, which has helped her remain fully aware of updates in her industry, as well as assist her in maintaining her passion and dedication. Looking to the future, Dr. Cuvilly hopes to continue expanding her knowledge and utilizing her expertise to help others.
