Christina Chatelain, BSN, MSN, DNP, Registered Nurse in Mount Sinai Hospital’s Psychiatric Department, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in psychiatric health care.
Since 2022, Ms. Chatelain has excelled as a registered nurse in the psychiatric department at Mount Sinai Hospital. In this position, she reviews patients’ charts, communicates with patients, conducts assessments, maintains behavioral documentation and administers medication, among other duties. As well as being experienced in psychiatric nursing, Ms. Chatelain boasts experience in medical, maternal and pediatric nursing.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Chatelain worked at a local hospital as a registered nurse in post-partum, maternal and child care. She was a registered nurse with NewYork-Presbyterial Hospital from 2017 to 2019 and with McLean Hospital from 2015 to 2017. To keep abreast of developments in her field, she maintains membership with Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Chatelain attended Georgian Court University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015. Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, she is pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing at Hunter College and plans to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice as well. At Hunter College, Ms. Chatelain received a Cabrini-Hunter Fellowship.
Ms. Chatelain attributes her success to her mother’s support and her faith in God. Among her accomplishments, she is proud to have purchased a vehicle for her mother. In the coming years, Ms. Chatelain plans to complete her doctoral studies and eventually transition to a career in academia. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, exercising, hiking and spending time outdoors.
