Leveraging over three decades of experience, Ms. Johnson-Kenney has cultivated a career of excellence as a registered nurse. Specializing in cardiology, she has operated as an ambulatory outpatient nurse with Lifespan Health System since 2012, where she works alongside fellow specialists and offers cardiac stress testing services and other educational courses. Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Johnson-Kenney served as an ICU and CCU telemetry nurse at the Roger Williams Medical Center and her local Veterans Affairs Hospital for 20 years. She is also a former member of the American Nurses Association and the National Lipid Association.
As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Johnson-Kenney pursued a formal education, originally earning her qualifications as a licensed nurse in 1988. After beginning her work in the field, she subsequently continued her studies at Crystal Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in nursing in 2000. She recently achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts in 2022. Accounting for her fulfilling career, Ms. Johnson-Kenney has largely attributed her success to her stamina and grit. In the coming years, she hopes to learn more about diabetics and become a certified diabetic educator.
