Renee Anquinette Lloyd, Director at New Beginnings, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in child care.
With more than 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Lloyd has excelled as the owner, teacher and director of New Beginnings, a daycare center, for 20 years. In this position, she is responsible for managing the center, feeding children, cleaning and supervising the classroom and teaching the children. Catering to children between six weeks and 13 years old, she works alongside her dedicated staff to care for around 20 children, including infants. Ms. Lloyd notes that she has overcome several challenges with New Beginnings, including the COVID-19 pandemic, during which time she was able to buy new toys and supplies while improving and redesigning the rooms of the facility.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Lloyd pursued an education at Lamar University, which she graduated with her license as a practical nurse. However, due to a complication with the state nursing board, she shifted her attention to her endeavors in daycare, which she believes to be her calling. Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Lloyd proudly donates to her local unhoused population as well as Shriners International.
Ms. Lloyd attributes her success to God, as her faith has kept her strong through all of her difficult times and instilled her with the stamina and fortitude necessary to never give up. In 2004, she was previously honored with a Who’s Who listing in 2004. Loving the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others, Ms. Lloyd is particularly proud to help enable parents to go to work and provide for their families.
Though there have been a number of professional highlights throughout her career, Ms. Lloyd is grateful to have raised three wonderful sons as a single parent, having provided them with the best life possible while working in a low income bracket. She also notes New Beginnings’ distinction as the cheapest childcare facility for 20 years while also ensuring that the children in her care received a stellar education. Looking toward the future, Ms. Lloyd hopes to continue finding success in her present roles with New Beginnings.
