With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Williams has excelled as the flight nurse with HealthNet Aeromedical Services since 2018. Prior to this appointment, she began her career as a paramedic. Among the highlights of her professional efforts, she is incredibly proud to be able to fly as it is considered to be the highest level of nursing, providing her with autonomy and enabling her to care for the most critically sick patients. Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Williams has been affiliated with both the American Red Cross and the Aircraft Nursing Association.
Ms. Williams notably pursued an education at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences, from which she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. In addition to this accomplishment, she earned a paramedic certificate from Lynchburg Community College, her certification as an emergency nurse and her certification as a flight registered nurse in 2018. As a testament to her exceptional endeavors in her field, she was presented with the Hero of the Year Award from the American Red Cross in 2017 and the Daisy Award in 2019. Attributing her success to her desire to help her community and leave a lasting positive impact as a result of her stellar achievements, Ms. Williams is considering seeking her master’s degree in education in the coming years due to her potential as an effective teacher in her areas of expertise.
