With 45 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Sciamanna is a proven expert in the field of health care. Having retired in 2018, she specialized in veterans’ affairs and addiction recovery, having joined the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center as a nurse practitioner in 1990. Prior to this appointment, she operated as a registered nurse for several other organizations from 1977 to 1990. As part of her dedication to her profession, she remains affiliated with the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and she continues to participate with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Sciamanna earned a diploma in nursing at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1977. She subsequently continued her education at the State University of New York College of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989. She completed her studies at the University of Pennsylvania, achieving a Master of Science in Nursing in 1990. To commemorate her efforts in the field, Ms. Sciamanna was honored with a Unit Award by the Crescenz VA Medical Center. Attributing much of her success to her many unique opportunities, she hopes to continue enjoying her retirement alongside her husband.
