Kelly Ann Roth, RN, Registered Nurse at Triage Travel Agency, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of travel nursing.
A retired mail carrier who proudly graduated from nursing school when she was 50 years old, Ms. Roth has excelled in her current role as a travel registered nurse since 2021. She previously delivered mail for the United States Postal Service for 13 years.
Inspired by her husband’s effort to survive cancer, Ms. Roth enrolled in nursing school in 2017. She subsequently fulfilled a promise she made to her husband before his passing in 2018 by earning an associate degree in nursing from Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 2019. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
As a travel nurse, Ms. Roth travels to different communities in the United States, three months at a time, to administer bedside care to hospital patients. She takes tremendous pride in helping to make individuals feel better in their time of need. She believes her most notable achievement has been exhibiting the strength to move forward at home and in her career, in spite of the many challenges she has faced. She aspires to eventually become a hospice nurse, in order to help patients and their families navigate through extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
While Ms. Roth was working for the postal service in 2001, the building she worked in was contaminated with anthrax and closed. An officer in her union at the time, she survived exposure to anthrax, though her illness resulted in her retirement on disability. Following her recovery, she returned to college and completed prerequisite coursework for nursing school.
