Lori Clausen, Oncology Research Nurse at Accellacare, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.
Ms. Clausen prepared for her career at Oakton Community College, earning an associate degree in hospitality management in 2008. She continued her education with an EMT-B certification from Waubonsee Community College in 2013 and an EMT-P certification from the College of DuPage in 2015. In 2010, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Phoenix, and in 2020, she graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ms. Clausen has found success since 2021 as an oncology research nurse with Accellacare, previously working as a staff nurse at the Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital from 2020 to 2021.
Prior to her current post, Ms. Clausen garnered experience as an EMT-P and paramedic technician with the Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital from 2018 to 2020, an EMT-P with the Wheaton Fire Department and Kurtz Ambulance from 2016 to 2018, and an EMT-P with Elite Ambulance in 2016. Prior to her work in health care, she served as a clinical research coordinator and associate with numerous companies, including the CDH Proton Center and Quintiles, now known as IQVIA, among others. Ms. Clausen is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Emergency Nurses Association and has contributed to numerous articles published in professional journals. In the coming years, she hopes to continue working in critical care medicine alongside her research endeavors and obtain her nurse practitioner license.
