With 45 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Williams has cultivated a career of excellence, specializing in veteran’s care and nursing. Having operated as a nurse since 1975, she joined the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina, as a home telehealth coordinator in 2011, a role in which she served until retiring in 2020. As part of her dedication to her profession, Ms. Williams has also remained affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the South Carolina Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.

Ms. Williams’ performance in the field was born of her academic journey. Adjacent to her primary vocation, she is also regularly involved as a civic-minded citizen in her community, regularly volunteering with the Faith Community Nurses Association and as a parish nurse at Zion Canaan Baptist Church. In light of her accomplished career, she attributes much of her success to her grandmother, who offered her a steady foundation in nursing and served as a constant source of inspiration. Since retiring, Ms. Williams has maintained her focus on nursing, and she hopes to complete the community care center at her church in the near future.
