Jeanine M. Greene, BSN, ACLS, CCN, Registered Nurse at Desert Foothills Junior High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in school nursing.
With more than 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Greene is currently retied as a registered nurse, having concluded her nursing career in 2000 after a 17-year tenure at Desert Foothills Junior High School. Prior to this position, she was active as an office nurse for the emergency intensive care unit at numerous hospitals, a flight nurse, a rodeo nurse and a nurse at multiple doctor’s offices. In addition to these appointments, she served as both a founding member and president of the Arizona Recovery Room Nurses Association as well as a vacation bible school nurse for Bethany Bible Church. Ms. Greene began her career as the head nurse for the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois from 1957 to 1959.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Greene pursued an education at the Graham Hospital School of Nursing, at which she became registered as a nurse in 1956. Likewise certified as a critical care nurse and a school nurse, she additionally obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with honors, at Northern Arizona University in 1980. Attributing her success to her wonderful upbringing, who instilled their stellar work ethic, Christian values and devotion within her, she is incredibly proud of helping patients in need, including a rodeo rider who was attacked by a bull and a young man in need to a tracheotomy with a severe head injury. Having been the best nurse that she could be as per the guidance of God, Ms. Greene hopes to continue enjoying her retirement and travel in the coming years.
