Since 2021, Ms. Norton has helped advance healthcare knowledge as a clinical nurse educator for Puma Biotechnology. Previously, she worked closely with patients as a thoracic navigator and a head and neck oncology navigator at Sarah Cannon Cancer Care and Research in Nashville, Tennessee from 2015 to 2021. Prior to this, she provided treatment to patients as a nurse at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She stays active in the medical community as a board member of the American Lung Association and chair of the awareness committee of the Kansas City Chairman’s Circle, American Cancer Society.
Ms. Norton graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City, from which she obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2008 and a master’s degree in nursing in 2011. She was inspired to pursue nursing by her great-grandmother, who was a nurse herself and shared many stories of her time providing care to others. She plans to continue nursing, educating herself on patient care and remaining active in her community in the upcoming years. Education is a passion of hers and has helped her excel in her nursing career, during which she spends time educating patients about their ongoing treatment and care.
