She has been a nurse clinician II for Advocate Aurora Health in Downers Grove, Illinois since 2018. Previously, she worked in facility administration for the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network.

Ms. Husband is active as a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the Oncology Nursing Society. A highlight of her career has been educating patients and helping them learn more about the procedures they will undergo so they will no longer be afraid. She became interested in medicine as a child after her mother was diagnosed with lupus and struggled with health problems. She was also inspired by a nurse she met early in her career, a person who ended up becoming a mentor and encouraging her to go back to school.
