Currently, Ms. Hansen provides superior care as a registered nurse with Mary Greeley Medical Center, a premier 220-bed regional hospital that provides healthcare to the residents of a 13-county area in central Iowa. In the oncological department, Ms. Hansen specializes in delivering treatment for cancer patients and blood-related disorders,
Ms. Hansen attributes her success to having an outstanding support system within her professional nursing organization which she had joined in the 1970s. Additionally, she is most proud of her work as an adjunct professor teaching and shaping the next generation of nurses. In the coming years, Ms. Hansen sees herself continuing to provide oncological healthcare and information in the time of rapidly evolving cancer research.
