Adaibaa Nchegem Mpi, RN, a Registered Nurse at the Montefiore Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of health care services.
With more than 15 years of practiced expertise in health care services to her credit, Ms. Mpi has achieved professional success through her exemplary work as a registered nurse. In her role as a clinical documentation and improvement specialist at the Montefiore Medical Center, she was primarily assigned to read charts, bill and reimburse clients on behalf of the hospital, and regularly interface with doctors and medical providers. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, Ms. Mpi has more recently worked in a direct hospital setting, through which she has served in the medical surgery unit for night shifts. Prior to her work at Montefiore, she found success from 2006 until 2017 in a variety of nursing positions for HealthCare Partners, Complex Care Solution, EmblemHealth and Northwell Health.
Outside of her work in the health care industry, Ms. Mpi has garnered recognition as AfrikaExotic, an award-winning fashion model who has worked with both Fashion Week Magazine and Connecticut Online Magazine. Modeling jewelry and clothing alike, she has walked the runway for several fashion shows, and notably won Victoria Henley’s Magnifique Showcase. Furthermore, Ms. Mpi is an alumnus of “America’s Next Top Model.”
Ms. Mpi’s exemplary performance in the field was born of her academic journey, which began at the State University of New York College at Cortland, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in health science, with a minor in biology in 1999. Following this accomplishment, she received an Associate of Applied Science in the accelerated nursing program from Nassau Community College in 2005. Throughout the course of her subsequent career, Ms. Mpi is most proud to have convinced other people to become nurses in their own right. Outside of her vocational pursuits, however, she considers her greatest achievement to be her son.
