Linda Snyder Fitzgerald, a Retired Nurse, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of health care.
Ms. Fitzgerald enjoyed a fulfilling career in health care that spanned more than three and a half decades. During this time, she worked in an emergency room setting and frequently conducted medical insurance examinations. Over the span of her career, Ms. Fitzgerald specialized in caring for patients afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as in obstetrics and gynecology. Furthermore, she was involved with the intensive care unit, as well as in private practice through a doctor’s office.
In a career suffused with highlights, Ms. Fitzgerald is most proud to have ranked ninth overall in her state board examination and was lauded as the 10th best student in her class, which permitted her to work on behalf of Kaiser Permanente, an integrated managed care consortium. Furthermore, she was gratified to assist in saving the life of a baby at a hospital in Pennsylvania, who had been choking. Eminently qualified in her field, Ms. Fitzgerald was licensed as a practical nurse in 1961.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Fitzgerald served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross in the states of Pennsylvania and California. She also led the Christmas program for the women’s group of her church, through which they donated numerous articles of clothing to children. Ms. Fitzgerald was also recognized as a worthy high priestess of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, which consists primarily of women who are married to men that are connected to the various Masonic fraternities.
