Dr. Lillie Quince Clark Head, RE, Registered Nurse at Lantana Public Health Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing.
A registered nurse of more than 40 years, Dr. Head has garnered vast experience in the areas of maternity, labor and delivery, surgical nursing, cardiac care, medical nursing, family planning and pediatrics. Originally serving the Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida, for three years, she went on to work for the Health Department in Delray Beach, Florida for nearly three decades. From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Head excelled as a registered nurse and school health nurse supervisor for the Lantana Public Health Center in Lantana, Florida, until entering her retirement.
To support her professional endeavors, Dr. Head earned two Associate of Arts degrees from Albright College and Roosevelt Junior College, as well as an associate’s degree in nursing from Palm Beach State College. She went on to attain a bachelor’s degree from Atlantic University in 1991 and a doctorate in evangelical ministry from the Evangelical Bible College and Seminary in 1995. Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Head has been the recipient of several accolades and has begun writing a book, “The Salvation Love Series.” She continues to maintain her membership with the honorable society of Alpha Omicron.
Reflecting on her illustrious career, Dr. Head is most proud of the time she spent in ministry, and is gratified to have forged a deeper connection with her grandfather, who was the pastor of a church. He established 16 churches throughout the east coast of Florida, including the one she is now servicing. Notably, they have been designated as historical landmarks. When her grandfather died, her father and his sister became pastor and assistant pastor. Likewise, when her father passed away, Dr. Head became the assistant pastor and her son the pastor.
Dr. Head attributes much of her success to her love for people and humanity. Looking toward the future, she intends to build a museum that examines the more than 14 churches her ministry has accumulated throughout the United States. She would also like to establish a historical community center, which will feature the history of Delray Beach, Boynton and surrounding areas in Palm Beach County. Furthermore, Dr. Head plans to remain involved with Communion for the Lord Supper, which conducts home visits for people who cannot physically go to church.
