Michele J. Fank, RN, BAN, house supervisor at Regional Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing.
Driven by her passion to assist people during the most emotional, trying, and challenging days of their lives, Ms. Fank has dedicated her life to her career as a registered nurse. She initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts in nursing from Luther College in 1994 before earning certifications in Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum. Celebrating a decades-long career with Regional Medical Center, she initially established herself as a member of the nursing recruitment and retention team. Currently, in addition to her position as the house supervisor, she serves as a pediatric advanced life support instructor and a basic life support instructor. Moreover, beginning in 2021, she has established herself as a clinical nurse instructor at Northeast Iowa Community College.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Fank has maintained professional affiliations with the American Nurses Association and the Iowa Nurses Association. For her achievements, she is proud to have been selected as one of the 100 Greatest Iowa Nurses of 2018. She attributes her success to her mentors who have broadened her spectrum of patient care. Gratified to educate students as well as younger staff members, she aims to continue contributing to the profession through teaching and mentorship.
