Christine Nicole Peppo, RN, an RN Supervisor for the St. Tammany Health System, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing administration.
Ms. Peppo had dreamed of becoming a nurse since childhood but did not have the opportunity to pursue her dream until a divorce forced her to reassess her career. Now a single parent of two children, Ms. Peppo enrolled at the Baton Rouge General School of Nursing, earning her Registered Nurse designation. She began her nursing career in a hospital emergency department, where she spent the next ten years before moving into an endoscopy unit. In 2016, she became a registered nurse supervisor for the St. Tammany Health System, drawing on her diverse administrative and patient care experience to manage a hospital endoscopy unit.
In her current role, Ms. Peppo performs and oversees both inpatient and outpatient procedures in addition to managing staff, payroll, and scheduling. In recognition of her work on behalf of her patients and hospital, she was named to The Great 100 Nurses in 2013, and she is active in numerous charity walks and benefits for breast cancer research. Ms. Peppo holds PALS Instructor certification and is committed to remaining on the leading edge of treatment protocols while helping others do the same. She credits her long-term success to the influence of her preceptors and early mentors, who provided her with examples of leadership and strength that have carried her through her career and hopes to continue to rise up the management ladder in the coming years.
