Debra K. Meneely, BHSE, RN, CPN, Pediatric Complex Case Manager at MDwise, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pediatrics.
Having accrued more than 40 years working in the health care industry, Ms. Meneely has flourished in her efforts to provide opportunities to support, educate and care for a large number of children and adults from all socioeconomic levels. Today, she excels in her role as a pediatric complex case manager for MDwise, Inc., an Indiana-based, non-profit healthcare company dedicated to helping vulnerable populations in need of health coverage. The company’s mission is to provide high-quality healthcare services to the many families in Indiana, all while improving the wellbeing of its members by engaging exceptional associates, community leaders and health care professionals.
A certified pediatric nurse, Ms. Meneely earned a diploma as a registered nurse from the Rush Copley Medical Center in 1975 and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Indiana University in 2005. Utilizing her knowledge, she previously served Wishard Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse II and coordinator of the pediatric mock code program. Ms. Meneely has also been a pediatric clinical and case manager for Interim Health Care and Community Health Network. Additionally, she has served as a financial coordinator for Clarion/IU Health Solid Organ Transplant Center, an LPN instructor at J. Everett Light Career Center and a women and children’s services case manager for Eskenazi Health. Reflecting on an illustrious career, Ms. Meneely plans to ease into a well-deserved retirement within the next few years.
To remain abreast of her field, Ms. Meneely maintains affiliation with the Case Management Society of America and the Central Indiana Case Management Society of America. Notably, she has received recognition from the Indiana University School of Obstetrics & Gynecology, as well as the Ritter-Severns Legacy Award for her contributions to the Face to Face Craniofacial Support Group and Camp About Face. She attributes her success to her ability to share knowledge and educate in non-threatening environments, along with her personal experience raising two children with medical differences, which allows greater empathy for others. She also thanks her mentor, Wilma Nightingale, for her incredible influence. To attest to her legacy, Ms. Meneely is also listed in the fourth and fifth editions of Who’s Who in American Nursing.
