Dr. Joyce received a Bachelor of Science from Boston College in 1969, where she was granted a Top Medal for Nursing Clinician Eurcylea. After achieving a Master of Arts in nursing from New York University in 1974, she spearheaded her career as a clinical specialist at the Children’s Aide Society in New York City. Progressing in her career, she was a clinical specialist of the alcoholism program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center from 1975 to 1979 and co-director of B.J.M. Associates Private Aftercare Center from 1979 to 1983. She also spent one year as an advertising consultant for Scali McCabe Sloves and was an addiction consultant for rehabilitation centers in Florida from 1986 to 1999. Dr. Joyce achieved a Doctor of Philosophy in adult mental health nursing from New York University in 1984. Prior to her career in health care, Dr. Joyce was a nun but left the sisterhood to pursue her passion: the exploration of the authentic deep inner feminine energy and masculine agency as they evolve consciously.
Notably, since 1983, Dr. Joyce has been a clinical specialist of psychotherapy at her private practice in New York City. Interested in the coping patterns of women employed outside of the home, she has studied how those patterns evolve over time and how people maximize the most coping time. For three decades, she has devoted her career to helping clients achieve balance, either through psychotherapy and dreamwork or through hypnosis via rapid transformational therapy. Alongside her primary endeavors, Dr. Joyce has sat on the board for the National Hockey League and Catholic Church of Holy Trinity. Presently, she maintains affiliation with the American Psychiatric Association, American Society of Composers, Songwriter’s Guild of America, Sigma Theta Tau and International Dream Association. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, singing and collecting art. To attest to her legacy, Dr. Joyce is also listed in editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
