Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Springfield, Missouri, United States
Kathy Newell, Registered Nurse at Nursefinders, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical-surgery telemetry.
A registered nurse with more than 40 years of professional expertise, Ms. Newell specializes in progressive care nursing and medical-surgical telemetry. Ms. Newell has always been an exceptionally caring and compassionate person, so much so that after high school she set her sights on becoming a nurse. Her father had offered to pay for her nursing school tuition, but Ms. Newell was reluctant to put him in debt and waited to enroll until she could finance her own education. To this day, she considers her father’s gift to be her greatest inspiration. Ms. Newell has notably obtained an Associate of Arts in 1995, a Bachelor of Arts in nursing in 2005, and a Master of Nursing Science from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Additionally, she has entered a Doctor of Healthcare Administration program through the University of Phoenix.
Ms. Newell commenced her career as a licensed practical nurse from 1980 to 1994 and as a nursing assistant through 1989. Currently, she is a licensed registered nurse for Nursefinders, in which she is primarily responsible for telemetric monitoring and post-surgical care. Ms. Newell attributes the success she has found throughout her life to her faith and trust in God. As faith is a fundamental part of her personal and professional life, Ms. Newell is the author of a book, “Chasing Undeserved Grace,” which is currently in the publication process. Looking ahead, she intends to retire while continuing her service to others by volunteering in her local church. With her love to motivate people, Ms. Newell’s advice to aspiring nurses is to understand that you must have a full understanding and passion for what the profession entails, it is not just a title or job.
