Courtney McAuley, Registered Nurse and Owner at I.V. League, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements, and leadership in hydration nursing.

Since her youth, Ms. McAuley had an empathetic and kind spirit. While in high school, she decided that she wanted to pursue a career as a nurse and once she began working for the Children’s Hospital as a clinical assistant, she knew she made the right choice. For the next 15 years, Ms. McAuley excelled in her role as a charge nurse in the emergency room at the Children’s Hospital. Today, she notably serves as the owner of I.V. League Hydration, which offers hydration and vitamin treatments tailored patient to patient. I.V. League utilizes a common, minimally invasive procedure to intravenously deliver fluids, vitamins and other nutritional supplements directly into the bloodstream to provide relief for a multitude of common ailments associated with the accumulative effects of dehydration, including but not limited to hangovers, cold and flu symptoms, fatigue and jet-lag. In addition to hydration, I.V. League also offers specialized medical aesthetic services including Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels and hair restoration in their RetuRN2youth Room.

Looking back on her illustrious career, Ms. McAuley has found great reward working in preventative care and keeping people healthy throughout their everyday challenges, such as keeping up their immune system. A particular highlight that stands out to Ms. McAuley is her contributions to creating an IV hydration system for people suffering from hangovers. She brought out more than 100 IV bags for a Memorial Day sailing regatta and made wristbands, which included her phone number, so people had easy access to contact her for hydration treatment, which was offered as a concierge service. She attributes the success of her career to her branding, hiring the right people and establishing a relaxing atmosphere for clients. In addition to this innovative technique to reach a wider range of clients, Ms. McAuley was humbled to gain recognition as Nurse of the Month with the Children’s Hospital.

In five years’ time, Ms. McAuley aims to turn her business into a franchise and to have multiple hydration clinic locations throughout the United States. Her advice to aspiring nurses, specifically those with entrepreneurial spirits, is to be brave enough to put yourself and your ideas out into the world. Spearheading a business can be difficult and she recommends getting to the street, going business-to-business and distributing information on your endeavor as often and as vigorously as possible. Ms. McAuley works and lives by her motto, “Start doing.” In her free time, she enjoys marathon running, as she is a four-time Boston Marathon charity runner and has donated more than $5,000 for children and the elderly in the Boston area.
