Patti L. Rawlins Rinehart, RN, Nurse at PPEC Fletcher’s Tendercare, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements and leadership in pediatrics.
In her youth, Ms. Rinehart grew up around several siblings who were ailed with a chronic disease. Seeing what her siblings went through inspired her to want to help others in need of medical help, which is what encouraged her to pursue nursing. She earned an Associate of Science from Florida Junior College in 1981, which was followed by postgraduate coursework at the University of North Florida from 1984 until 1989. she was later certified as a registered nurse in the State of Florida. Ms. Rinehart began her professional career as a nursing aide in St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She remained there for three years prior to being hired as a staff nurse at the Jacksonville Wolfson Children’s Hospital. In the following years, she worked with the Pediatric Services of America. In 2006, she began working at PPEC Fletcher’s Tendercare. Though she started as a staff nurse, she has since been promoted to director of nursing. She remains in that role today, continuing to ease the ailments of everyone with whom she works.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Rinehart is featured in several editions of Who’s Who in American Nursing and Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, as well as the 17th edition of Who’s Who of American Women. Furthermore, in 2019, she became a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in light of her accomplishments.
