Aila Accad, Founder and President of LifeQuest International, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Nurses for dedication, achievements and leadership in holistic health.
With more than 50 years of professional experience, Ms. Accad has been the founder and president of LifeQuest International, LLC, since 1996, also serving as executive director of the Future of Nursing Action Coalition since 2014. Prior to obtaining her current roles, she was the president of Peoplework Solutions Corporation from 1992 to 1995, the founder and executive director of the Nurse Care Network from 1985 to 1995, and the president and CEO of Banonis Associates from 1982 to 1992. From 1979 to 1981, Ms. Accad was the director of Limen House, Inc., and, in 1978, she was a consultant and writer on freelance contracts.
From 1976 to 1978, Ms. Accad was on the faculty of nursing of Delaware Technical and Community College and, in 1977, she was a publisher with Flowing Owl Press. She previously served as an occupational health consultant with the Division of Mental Health from 1972 to 1975, having been a public health nurse for the State of Delaware in 1972. Earlier in her career, Ms. Accad was the coordinator of the autistic children’s research unit at the Eastern State School and Hospital from 1969 to 1971. In addition, Ms. Accad is a bestselling author and international inspirational speaker. She has two published books, “34 Instant Stress Busters: Quick Tips to De-Stress Fast with No Extra Time or Money” and “The Call of the Soul: A Path to Knowing Your True Self and Your Life’s Purpose.”
A respected voice in her areas of interest, Ms. Accad has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Holistic Nurses Association and the West Virginia Nurses Association. She has also been active with Sigma Theta Tau, the National Speakers Association, the National Nurses in Business Association and the Charleston Women’s Forum. A founding member of the Charleston chapter of the Women for Economic Leadership and Development, Ms. Accad is a member of Toastmasters International, the Charleston Chamber of Commerce, the DHHS Health Innovation Collaborative, West Virginians for Affordable Health Care and West Virginians for the Healthy Future.
Throughout her career, Ms. Accad has been recognized for her contributions, including having been named a Distinguished Toastmaster by Toastmasters International. The recipient of the West Virginia University School of Nursing Golden Graduate Award, which also named her Alumna of the Year, and she has been named Business Woman of the Year by Business and Professional Women WV. Ms. Accad has been featured in numerous honors publications, including Who’s Who in American Nursing, Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
